Steel Cut Oats with Cinnamon Apples

I’m not the biggest breakfast person. If I weren’t pregnant, typically my breakfast would consist of coffee…and more coffee. I do try to eat at least some toast in the morning, but it’s so hard! One thing that I do love for breakfast, however, is steel cut oatmeal. Steel cut oats are NOT regular oatmeal, so if you “don’t like” oatmeal, definitely try steel cut instead. They aren’t as gummy, and about ten thousand times more delicious! They’re pretty easy to make too, especially if you follow the overnight method (recipe below). Here’s a great way to dress up your oats for the fall with apples, cinnamon, and a little brown sugar.

    1. Omg Joelle.. Drool. You are so right – steel cut oats are in a category of their own. I eat my oats with strawberries and a few squares of dark chocolate – bit of an indulgent breakfast! I love this idea of cinnamon apples though.. Going to give them a go this week!
