Cinco de Mayo is this week, which means that my obsession with margaritas will be, for once, completely understandable. It’s funny – my husband is the mixologist in the family, but I think that I make the best margaritas. The secret…is that there is no secret! Strip down the recipe to the basics, and you really have the perfect margarita.
I’m not really a fan of adding salt to the rim of my margaritas (I know, blasphemy), so that’s completely optional. I do believe, however, that margaritas should be sour and cold, so be warned! This one isn’t for the faint of heart. If you really need it to be a little sweeter, some agave nectar or a shot of Grand Marnier will do the trick. Otherwise, pucker up and enjoy!
